My experience with Pan and Zoom is very frustrating as well. I found I had to put all images on the desktop to get it to work and then it was often broken. Stagetools Moving Picture has been the go to but lately I also have to put images on desktop to make that work. I work with stills all the time and I sometimes just go into after effects to make a movie. Very frustrating that still, in this time, that a graceful, fast, easy way to handle stills had not been addressed.
Any issues with Pan and Zoom on 8.3.1 in PC MC? We have a project that we are finishing and trying to edit some P&Z effects that were used. All images are JPEG. Every time we try to import an image, it comes in as black. I've seen this before and thought it was JPEG related but don't recall. Project was started on v7 and finished on a version of V8 which I'm trying to find out which v8. We did try importing a TIF and got the same results. Tried Moving Picture and it was fine. Files are approx 3Kx3K so size shouldn't be an issue. Didn't know if there were backwards compatibility issues if this was done in 8.4 and we're on 8.3.1.
