[Avid-L2] Dead Pixels viewing file on 4K monitor with HD source?

Battling QC flagging Dead Pixels I can't for the life of me see in my edit bay.  I have a Panasonic BT-LH2170 program monitor fed HD-SDI our of NitrisDX and a Samsung consumer big screen feed HDMI out of NitrisDX Usually in the past when I can't see the pixel errors on my Panny I can make them out on the big screen.  Not on the current project.  The QC house is going to send me screen grabs to help locate the dead pixels.

We asked what they were using to monitor in QC and we were told it's a 4K monitor.  I'm curious having not worked directly with a 4K monitor how is a standard 1920x1080 displayed on a 4K monitor.  I'm assuming they have a video card feeding the monitor but I don't know what the technical food chain is at their end.  What would be the most logical way a QC house would view our 1920x1080 ProResHQ 422 file on a 4K monitor?  I'm wondering if there is something scaling that could be a factor in why they are seeing dead pixels and I can't seem to register them in my bay.  I've called in younger sharper eyes but no one can seem to see what they are seeing in QC.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  I'm waiting for the screen grabs from QC to hopefully clarify things
