Only a guess - but check that you have the latest 'patch' release for whatever version you are running.

If the other person were in a newer Avid version than you, you might get similar errors to your description.

I am trying to open a sequence created by someone else.  But when I try to open it I get the Segmentation Fault on MainThread message.

Other sequences in the project open fine.  The problem sequence is also in a different project on a different drive and has the same issue.  I have checked the drives, all are ok.
