I tried to output an FCP7 show from resolve 12- the titling did not carry over correctly via XML- so I ended up doing the same round trip I was doing with r11. Have not attempted yet with MC.
Next episode, if I have extra time, I will render out the textless master from R12 and bring it back to FCP to add back the titles.
This particular show has lots of speed ramping- which reads well going INTO resolve- but get 25% messed up on the xml return to FCP, so there is value in rendering the textless entirely in resolve- will save time cleaning up and recutting all the speed ramps. Plus, resolve does very nice fluid renders when needed (watch the fine details, though!!)
Not convinced I'll ever be doing any offline in resolve, though. And got VERY BAD audio problems from r12s EasyDCP renders- had to revert to resolve 11 for a recent DCP delivery.
