Re: [Avid-L2] Media Composer 8.2.4 released

 

Just for my own edification, I need an explanation of how these patch releases are numbered. For example, I just updated to MC 8.4.0. But this new patch release is v8.2.4? So does this v8.2.4 patch release update my very recent update to MC 8.4.0? Do I need to do this? Why is the patch release numbering below my current version of MC?

I'm sure it's all very simple and I'm an idiot, but I would like a clarification.

We are pleased to announce the release of Media Composer v8.2.4 as of Tuesday July 7, 2015.

 

Where is this located:  This version is now available as a Patch on the Video Download Center (login and password required).  

Fixes:  There are quite a number of fixes in this patch so please encourage customers to read the ReadMe prior to installing.

Documentation:  For ReadMe, What's New, and Installation guides see the Media Composer 8 Documentation page.

 

Mac OS X - This version now supports Mac OS X 10.10.3.   See the Media Composer System Requirements page for general compatibility information.

 


Interplay Note: Media Composer v8.2.x has been qualified for use with Interplay Production 3.3.  Check the Video Compatibility Charts for full qualification information.
