Re: [Avid-L2] Allow Passthrough

Not positive but it may disable audio levels set in the timeline and mixer allowing you to pass through the straight source audio levels…

Not sure.

…oh,

Found this for you:

The Passthrough Mix tool adjusts monitored audio volume only and has no effect on the recorded audio signal.  To adjust the volume after you've recorded the audio sample, use the Audio Gain Automation Tool.  To adjust incoming audio signals, use the Gain slider in the Audio Tool.  For more operational information regarding audio editing, see "Using the Audio Mixer Tool" accessible from the application's Help menu.

What is the "allow passthrough" checkbox for in the digital cut window?
Has appeared in v8 I think (I play out to tape so infrequently it might
have been v7) and defaults to on but I don't know what it's for. I've
tried the Googles and reading TFM but can't find any info about it in
the context of digital cut.

I'm switching it off each time but I always like to know what I'm disabling!
