It does work on Windows. This would have to be a cuts only sequence that is 100% ProRes with no effects or titles. I'm not sure how useful this is.

It just can't render to ProRes, nor mixdown.
Why not? Is this a legal thing? (I very much doubt there is a technical reason.)
