[Avid-L2] Old MC on New Computer

 

I'm about to move to a whole new computer, and this includes moving MC, as well. I intend to keep a copy of MC on my original computer, but the primary use will be on the new system. (I have one of the new-fangled MC subscriptions)

Is there anything weird I need to be aware of when opening and/or activating this migrated version of the application? Will I need to reinstall? Will I find myself in the inevitable Avid activation hellscape, on the phone with tech support for hours trying to do something simple like open a version of MC I already own?

And can I keep a copy of MC on the previous computer for use when I'm not on the new system?

Any words of wisdom would be of great help before I embark on this little migration project.
