Sound craft's stuff is nice these days. Maybe also give the Allen&Heath ZED line a listen:

Nice simple mixers with good sound at good prices.

Or maybe the compact 8-channel Roots mixer from Tree Audio. Retro-modern. Under $25,000. :-)
