RE: [Avid-L2] Mixer?

+1 for Soundcraft.  Just replaced a Mackie – much cleaner.

I should have mentioned: friend basically needs a desktop solution with one balanced stereo input (from AJA Io Xpress) and one line input (computer's sound card), plus a master/monitor level fader/knob.

Master/Control for the obvious reason. Need to be able to play a music track in iTunes while playing back a scene in MC.

Otherwise a TC Level Pilot or Denon AV500 would suffice.

I own two 01V's, but they are too big for him, and having worked with one, he found it too complicated to set up and use.

I've owned a Mackie, worked with some others, never had any issues with them. Sold mine to a friend after 4 years, and he's still using it 10 years later. But perhaps those were the original 14xx's.

I'll definitely check out the Soundcraft.

I would think there would be a market for something like TC's Level Pilot or the SPL boxes, but with a mixable input.
