Use the uninstaller you already have in your Avid Utilites folder or one that comes with your old version of software . The uninstaller that comes with 8.3 is fir uninstalling 8.3 which you have not installed yet

Hello,
I have downloaded upgrading install MC 8.3 for my MacBook Pro from MC 5.
Tried to run MC 5 uninstaller first to uninstall old application but quickly runs through a search list that is left as a blank screen and then says there is nothing install.
Only option left is Quit after this.
It's like it is not finding the Avid MC 5.5 application files.
Can I trash the Avid MC 5 application files before the MC 8.3 install?
