Does not surprise me in the least. Avid's financials have been vague and difficult to figure out. Are they profitable? Who knows, if you just go by the financials the company releases. There has been rumbles about the Orad purchase too, as just a smokescreen for poor results. Who the hell knows? And the admission of the author selling short certainly degrades the credibility of this story. And where did they get the 7%-8% market share number? Can that be correct?
It will be interesting to watch the stock and see if this article is to be believed. $5.53 as a real estimate for the value of the stock is a far cry from the $14.19 it's trading at now.
I got out of Avid just after NAB.
