true. i started this thread to talk about the self inflicted wound to the worth of the editor. People taking work for no pay or very low pay. Amateurs selling themselves as editors. And clients expecting less and less from their editors because these amateurs are not up to the real work of an editor. software operators not editors.

Moral: The letter of the law does not necessarily reflect how people will attempt use material. If there is an 'unfair' use of these trailers, the distributor/exhibitor is the one with the most at stake. And the loss of the "10 sec trailer" company's business is most likely dwarfed by the potential loss inflicted by an angry major studio.P.S.
