In rereading your post how would this be fixed in Avid? The DVCProHD source material had 2:3 pulldown added at the deck on ingest. How could I slip the cadence of a particular shot without slipping the shot out of sync. Given the 2:3 pulldown is baked into my clips and not being added by Avid I don't see how I could alter the cadence and maintain sync. I don't see how mixing down the shot and cutting the mixdown into a 23.976 project would allow me to alter cadence on individual shots either. Perhaps I'm missing something obvious?
