Well, I may have partially solved the video playback problem.
My Avid Project is set to YCbCr 709 and consists of 8-bit camera files. Accordingly, I set the Frame Buffer in the AJA ControlPanel to YUV-8. And at that setting, the AJA box was incapable of playing back video at Full Quality (Green) without repeated Timeout errors -- although it played 10-bit Full Quality (Green +10) and Draft Quality (Yellow/Green) with no problem.
That led me to changing the AJA Frame Buffer to YUV-10, and at that setting the problem disappears -- however, the AJA interface still stutters and throws errors when playing back AMA media.
So I guess the question is does the Kona 4 have noticeable latency compared to Nitris/Mojo DX when advancing frame-by-frame? And, does the Kona 4 stumble when playing AMA footage?
Thanks in advance for any input.
