I'm not confusing the two. I do know what you are talking about. You did just provide me with more insight into the over or under recording. I was aware that they would sample at 48048 or 47952 to accomplish the pulldown/pullup needs but I never realized they flagged the metadata as if it were recorded at 48K. I had originally figured they recorded in the field at 48048 and then Avid brought that in sample for sample as if it were 48K thus accomplshing the pulldown. This explains why when Michael Phillips explained the pull up/ pull down of audio it always seemed backwards to me. Once again my life is a living hell due to that low frequency video otherwise know as audio. ;-)
