Re: [Avid-L2] Why does animation keyframing seem to get worse with every release

Hmm - I like stereo tracks now! Either click and shift-click to select multiple keyframes or lasso them. Marks not needed. I do think that the whole audio level thing needs refining (or doing again from scratch). Dare I say it, it was better in FCP7?

Subject: [Avid-L2] Why does animation keyframing seem to get worse with every release

Is Avid trying to destroy volume key framing?

First, there was the imprisonment of this feature as part of the "Not So Smart Tools" back in v.5. User outrage managed to get it out of jail that time. Then, it became impossible to dissolve between audio segments that had animation gain keyframes, something that Avid always used to do well. Now, it seems that ganging keyframes across stereo pairs means setting in and out points, a new and totally unnecessary bit of work, and enough to drive you insane if you have lots of mixing to do. Why? is this an attempt to force us to use those dreadful stereo only tracks?

Oy.
