With all due respect, what does this even mean, the "NLE allows people be part of the content/media experience"? Little hands come out of the screen and give you a back rub?
I mean it. NLE's all have little screens, and timelines, folders, and places to look at your shots, and ways to organize them into sequences (or whatever the bullish-t fancy nomenclature is). So how in the world does Avid's collection of little screens, timelines, folders, and places to look at your shots not allow the user any more of a "content/media experience" than FCPX?
Because if we're really going to "go there", then one of the reasons I've always been partial to Avid is that its functionality and its UI always allowed me to focus on the story, and not the NLE. Maybe that's what you're talking about?

You are exactly right, Tod. The NLE allows people be part of the content/media experience. How does Avid editing become an experience people want to be part of?
