Re: [Avid-L2] [FR] Facial Recognition for CC

The previous bug was that if you corrected using src clip name and then found a shot you wanted to break the CC link to without using src segment mode, which couldn't be merged until now, you traditionally could change the problem clip to master clip.  Subsequent tweaks to the other clips that were CC'd using src clip name would not effect the revised clip that had been switched to master clip.  The bug came in on V.5 IIRC and under the same conditions going back to any of the src clip name CC'd shots and adjusting the color correction  would change the revised master clip back to src clip name and apply the color tweak thereby negating the revised color correction that had been done in master clip mode.  The bug was fixed in V6.  Perhaps to be fair it was not a bug so much as an engineering change that was later changed back to the way it was.

What version are you on? Avid fixed the bug introduced around V4 that caused new color corrections to overwrite old ones. For example, I apply segment mode corrections, then later I apply a master clip correction that applies to the master clip those segment corrections were applied on. For the history of Symphony until V4, those segment mode CCs stayed put. Then it changed and then the new master clip would replace the old segment mode CCs.
That has been fixed (I forget when but at least in V7) so that now once a correction is on a clip, you won't replace it with another correction of a different source clip mode later.
