You can rename the clips in the bin. For example, you have an interview with a guy that doesn't change, give those clips a distinct name, then apply color correction by source name.
But in the end clip naming is metadata. And as most of us know, the more metadata available, the easier various parts of the job become. And source side color correction definitely is easier.
