Not able to confirm the PC file path, but I trashed them on Mac and had no problems linking.
In fact, it's possible to turn off managed AMA completely, reverting to pre MC 7 style management, using the console. It's been stated by Avid that managed AMA provides little benefit except in certain workflows that involve Interplay, and may improve performance to disable it.

Site: http://ContactBen.comHi Gang,I'm hoping to obtain the file path on a PCto the AMA Databases, which Avid places inside a folder named "AMA Metadata Folders."Based on the Mac path (below), I could make an educated guess, but if anyone can verifythe path on a PC, that would be über helpful! The file path on a Mac is:Users >Shared >AvidMediaComposer >AMA Management >AMA Metadata Folders. And on a related note:Has anyone trashed these and had success with relinking AMA media?Do they rebuild like we're used to in the Avid MediaFiles folder (I'm asking before I try it)? Thanks in advance L2ers,B----Benjamin Hershleder
