Hi Bryan,
Glad the system is performing well for you.
That volume deletion that was done to troubleshoot an issue with a software assert, and it was just after the first release of 6.0. This, along with the client side errors you were receiving was resolved in 6.0.2. If you're not running 6.0.2 now, you should be. If you are, that's likely what corrected the problems. According to our support records, the volumes that were deleted contained no needed data, so this was chosen as the easier path, rather than taking the system offline to correct the volume metadata, which would have been the next step. We would not have asked you to delete needed data.
Nigel,
I would suggest an online session where I can answer all your questions, and help you research your options.
Terry,
The iPartition software is only for growing Single-user Write Mac-formatted volumes. There's almost no need for that these days, and you can resize a Multi-user Write volume on any Mac client.

By "breaking in" I just mean that the problems stopped happening after
about a month, with no real change in usage or facilis "magic." We
literally just waited until the problems stopped. After that we haven't
had a single problem besides the occasional offline media.
And no, after facilis helped us by wiping out our media and recreating the
volumes, our problems still persisted for another couple of weeks. Facilis
did not really have an answer to our problems.
Not sure if I'm coming across as a hater or not, but I actually have no
problem with facilis or the terrablock as it's been doing it's job well.
I'm just mentioning the problems we've had in the past.
One thing that I don't really like is the cmd+h shortcut on OSX. It hides
the client window just like every other program on OSX, but if you have any
drives selected, Cmd+h actually opens up the "change volume" dialogue box.
Completely unnecessary and un-intuitive. I would go as far as saying that
it's... "mind boggling."
