Those set the vtr setup menu to a factory default. That is different than a 1st birthday. A first birthday goes deeper with it's reset and sets the system freq to 23.98 regardless of where it was set. The process you found leaves this and many other aspects of the vtr untouched. Still good practice to do that as well.
