I've had them both on my laptop (same w530) for a long time... I think since Lightworks 11.0. No problems that I'm aware of. I don't think they're very related in terms of resources used or requirements so there shouldn't be any clashes in that regard. If you look at the Tech Specs for Lightworks, the requirements are very general in comparison
to Avid's. I'm mostly using Linux on my laptop these days and I know that there are problems with the DNxHD encodes out of Lwks that make them incompatible with Avid. AAF interchange isn't the best either and I haven't been able to figure out a good workflow for it. On Fri, Apr 11, 2014 at 10:01 AM, <sppomerantz@yahoo.com> wrote:
Hello L2,
I'm running MC7/Symphony on my Lenovo w530 laptop. I've downloaded Lightworks v11.5, but before I install, I thought I should check and see if anyone knows of any problems/gotchas I should be aware of. Avid is my bread and butter, but I wanted to give Lightworks a spin just to see if I like it or not.Any thoughts or experiences will be appreciated. Thanks,Steve Pomerantz
