Hi,
I can imagine the snorts of derisive laughter as I confess that I'm struggling to build some basic photo moves in P&Z, but honestly, the system I'm operating isn't loaded with Boris or any other option. Pan and Zoom has obviously always been pretty damn rudimentary, but I can't remember it being as difficult as it's been in the latest iteration. I did some tests, and as far as I can tell the zoom channel doesn't execute even the stupid, overly long, un-customizable speed tapers that the X and Y channels do. This pretty much guarantees that even the most basic, two point moves that combine XY movement with zoom will have weird motion artifacts on any ease in/ease out keyframes, as the XY axes slow down and the zoom keeps going on its merry way.
I'm not in front of the system as I write this, so I can't give full specs, but I can tell you that I'm on PC and I do believe the MC software is up to date.
I guess I'm wondering if other users forced to rely on Pan and Zoom are having similar issues, or if there are work arounds that anyone knows of. Lastly, I used to use Moving Picture as alternative some years back. It was also pretty primitive, but I seem to recall it at least included rotation, and I don't recall this level of difficulty in executing very basic moves. Is it still out available and compatible with modern systems?
TIA!!
Shirley
