One bit of the book that I'd like to reveal to this group - because I know you all feel the same way - is the very first paragraph in the acknowledgment section:
To Marianna Montague, there is no adequate way for me to thank you for your contributions to this book. When I first told Marianna about my desire to create a book that would explain - at a high level - the many advantages of the Avid editing platform, Marianna turned her considerable powers to the venture: spinning through her legendary Rolodex to line up all of the great experts you'll hear from throughout the book and opening access to the many experts that work at Avid. Marianna, you were the "fixer" that made this book possible. Marianna's assistance is known far and wide throughout the Avid community. To us, Marianna, you are the heart and soul of Avid. Hopefully, you know how much we all love you. Thank you.
