ALT-CTRL-L enlarges the amplitude of the waveforms. Also make sure the track itself is large enough.

I've turned on Waveform in the audio display and I see a flat line.  There is definately audio.  I cannot select the rubberbanding looking icon on the audio track.  Nothing happens.  Do I need to do anything else to display waveforms?
