Back on Sept 26 I posted pretty much the same thing. I just moved to v7. They stay for a bit, then revert, change users, same thing. Tried new ones, still can't get them. It's killing me since some of them haven't changed in 20 yrs. I pasted the orig post below, Mark S replied that butons were never saved but my muscle memory says otherwise.

"Anybody else having issues with User settings not being retained.
I've set them up 3 times in the last 2 days, made new users, revised and saved old ones, the buttons keep reverting back to some mystery layout!
Bin views, export settings, workspaces all appear ok, just the damn buttons!

I've noticed lately that when I make a change to my user settings, the don't 'stick' anymore. In fact, when I use the 'save settings' function, it says the change are saved, and the workspace jumps back to the previous version, and any keyboard on screen settings revert.
I suppose I'll need to just build new settings, but anyone heard of this before?
