Install the drivers and away you go. AMA is efficient with XDCAM. Done this a lot with 1080i/50.

Subject: [Avid-L2] PDW-U1 ama workflow?
Tomorrow I have to set up a U1 drive for some XDCam material. We've been emailed the Sony drivers and our systems are mac based. Is the workflow a typical ama link to volume kind of thing? I'm thinking it would be similar to the card based EX workflows I've worked with a little bit. Not sure what system OS we'll be on either 10.6.8 on V. 5.5x or 10.8.3/10.8.4 with V 6.5.4. Any gotchas to watch out for? Not sure if this is 23.98 or 29.97 material. More will be revealed.John Moore
