[Avid-L2] RE: Avid Customer Association?

 

I guess I am too old to be impressed by "movers and shakers" anymore.  As I posted in the Avid Forums, I recall back in the day (transition to BW footage with film grain and scratches) with Softimage|DS that the company flew us to Montreal, picked our brains on what we really wanted, met with developers and designers and then finally had us sit with a room of marketers and re-sellers to get our opinions and uses of the product. 


That seems like the right way to do it, versus this grand and severely faulted PR/marketing move where Avid charges us to talk to them.  Crazy.
