The Sony AMA installer will not write over previous installed plug-ins. On the Mac they have to be manually removed and on Windows uninstalled using Program and Features. This is detailed in the readme with the Sony AMA installer.
Are you using v7.0 or v7.0.2? There were fixes in both the updated Sony AMA plug-in and v7.0.2.
What you're describing can happen if two versions of the Sony AMA plug-ins are installed. My suggestion is to go into the AMA Plug-ins folder and remove all the Sony AMA plug-ins and only install the XAVC/XDCAM and see it if works.
What project type are you working in? As a test switch it to RGB to see it resolves the issue.

types/colour space.
A bit frustrating.. Glad this is *only* the pilot and not the series
