Hi John,
Are you sure of the OS versions?
10.6.8 is the last version of Mac OS that ethernet attaching works on; an I think it is pretty unlikely that a 10.8.4 system is attaching at all. There isn't a 64bit ethernet client for the later OS; only 32bit.
There is a fibre client that is supported on the 64Bit OS and works up to v10.7.4.
If you have the right version mix, clear out the attic; it is probably full.

Where I'm working they have added a 2nd Unity Medianet file manager is 5.1.3. We are mac based running 5.5x. There are 12 fibre clients that appear to be working fine but they have added Imac based ethernet clients and there is an error message to the effect that they can't save to the unity attic. I'm told they are not seeing these errors on the fibre clients. One iMac is OS 10.8.4 and one is 10.6.7 and both exhibit the same error. Connection manager is 5.3.3. Any suggestions what would cause these clients to not be able to save the unity attic?
