Didn't the nuvista board capture as OMFI media? The problem files were the audio files, where you needed to convert sd1 to aif or wav. Sd2 audio files were cunningly disguised as .omf
Protools used to convert them but the last time we had a pile to convert we used Barbabatch which surprisingly still exists http://www.audioease.com/Pages/BarbaBatch/
You might find an OS9 version somewhere but you can convert them on OSX and copy them back pretty easily.
