I note:
The whole system is all file-based. Though we have plenty of VTR's in the edit rooms, I haven't needed to turn one on in probably a year.
I wish to point out that I don't edit the same opening for the Weekday Today Show (which airs at 8am, M-F). That's done by another editor who has more time than I do. Also, he doesn't cut anything else but that opening. When I cut it on the weekends, I still have to edit other opens and teases as well. Life in the super-fast lane . . . . . ;)
