Yes, and you can delete animation and lots of other things too. The point is that if you're doing a Repo for instance then when you move the image an unnecessary and unwanted Keyframe is created. If you subsequently decide to reposition the repo and don't park exactly on the keyframe you now have a second unwanted keyframe and an unwanted animation to boot.
DS, Smoke, Fusion all have an Autokey Toggle which was the original request and is eminently sensible.
