Re: [Avid-L2] [BUG]? v7.0.2 Pan & Scan Grid

Hi John,
Thanks for trying to help.
I tried all the usual suspects and still no resolution.
The grid _will_ display when any other effected or non-effected clip is selected; it just doesn't show when a P&S effect is selected. With the Grid display override available in the P&S effect I thought there might be some secret handshake I had to do to get it to display. Right now, it just seems broken.

I spend a good portion of time training people on the software, and I like to know when things are a feature or a bug to minimize embarrassment during a demo. It sucks when I go: "And here you can customize the grid display…" and then it doesn't work. I hate those "Doh!" moments. ;)

Thanks again Sir!

Cheers,

B

I had grid issues when I didn't create new user settings when going from 5.5 to V 6. The grid was black in color not white. When I created a new user in V6 and took those grid setting to my setting the grid began showing white like normal. Maybe there might be something similar in the jump to V7. Have you tried a new user just for the heck of it. Also I've found trashing the .avs file to get things working some times when things are just wonky.
