The problem is ergonomics, if you're trying to be keyboard centric and fast. At least it is for me. I do lots of things with one hand on Apple that I have to do with two hands on PC. Perhaps it depends on your market, offline v.s. online, etc. The fact is that in my market, no matter how fast I get, I can never edit fast enough. There's always more work pushing me to speed up. So yes, my tools matter, because every damn second counts. The fact that Apple allows me to use my opposable thumb also makes it easier on my body, and that's important too, since I'm going to have to work until the moment I fall over dead.

As a side issue, the PC graphic interface is soul-murderingly hideous, just damned ugly and depressing looking. Not sure what that's about specifically, but it's not as important as the speed thing, especially since the ugliness is really about the look of the OS.

I would say if you're agnostic, hooray for you! It's good to have options.
