[Avid-L2] New CPUs supported

 

Avid is pleased to announce support for six new systems from HP, Dell, Lenovo and Apple for the Media Composer family of products. 

The Media Composer family consists of Media Composer, NewsCutter and Symphony and now these editing applications support the HP Z230 Tower and SFF (Small Form Factor), the Dell T1700 (Tower only), the Lenovo E32 Tower and SFF, and the Apple MacBook Air 13" (Media Composer and Symphony only.)

Software Version Requirements

  • Media Composer 6.5.4 and above
  • NewsCutter 10.5.4 and above
  • Symphony 6.5.4 and above

Operating System Requirements:

  • Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
  • Windows 8 Professional 64-bit (Media Composer 7.0.x, NewsCutter 11.0.x only)
  • Windows 8 Enterprise 64-bit (Media Composer 7.0.x, NewsCutter 11.0.x only)
  • Mac OS 10.8.x

  • Xeon Quad-core E3-1245 v3 3.4 Ghz CPU    
  • 8 or 16 GB DDR3-1600 memory (2 x 4GB / 4 x 4GB / 2 x 8GB)
  • Intel embedded HD P4600 Graphics card
    • Nvidia Quadro K600 is optional   
  • ISIS connectivity via embedded Intel i217-LM embedded 1Gb NIC1

Lenovo E32 Tower and SFF (Small Form Factor)   

  • Xeon Quad-Core E3-1245v3 3.4 Ghz CPU
  • 8 or 16 GB DDR3-1600 memory (2 x 4GB / 4 x4GB / 2 x 8GB)
  • Intel embedded HD P4600  
    • Nvidia Quadro K600 is optional
  • ISIS connectivity via embedded Intel i217-LM embedded 1Gb NIC1

Dell T1700 Tower  (SFF not supported)      

  • Xeon Quad-Core E3-1245v3 3.4 Ghz CPU      
  • 8 or 16 GB DDR3-1600 memory (2 x 4GB / 4 x4GB / 2 x 8GB)
  • Nvidia Quadro K600 (mandatory)
    • Embedded Intel HD P4600 Graphics card is not supported   
  • ISIS connectivity via embedded Intel i217-LM embedded 1Gb NIC1

MacBook Air 13"

  • 1.7 Ghz and higher i7 dual core     
  • Mid 2013 – Thunderbolt      
  • 8 GB 1600Mhz DDR3L      
  • Embedded Intel HD 5000 Graphics card
  • ISIS connectivity via Apple
  • Thunderbolt-to-1Gb NIC dongle
