I think you might be thinking of Video DownloadHelper, which is designed to rip videos off YouTube and others. This add-on (DownThemAll) does just what the title says: finds downloadable links on a page and queues them all. Very easy and very powerful if you have a page with many individual download links and you don't want to right-click/Save As every one.

I had that or still have it. For some reason it's functionality wasn't that user friendly to me. I was using it to say download a video on UTube etc... and sometimes it worked but I found the massive list of all the elements on the website page very unintuitive, but perhaps I need to revisit it. I had never thought of it as a download manager but just a way to hack/download videos on web sites. Heck I never even thought of a download manager until I started googling last night.
