There's an easier way to do this which does not involve messing with the under-the-hood settings in Firefox. Install the Firefox Add-On called DownThemAll. It offers a very easy to use and customizable download helper which scans the page you're on for downloadable files, allows you to filter on whatever extension you're trying to get, and queues them to download to the folder of your choice. In a few clicks, you can pass all the work to the add-on and have it maximize your bandwidth to download many files at once.

Dennis,
Look, I am not one for spending large amounts of time under the hood tweaking settings. But this one setting is ultra easy to switch, and if you want to download batches from a stock footage or music site, it is very helpful. Try it!All those settings; That's out of my league . . .- Rich
