There have been requests for changes to the colour correction as well as the effects in MC for longer than I can remember but its never been addressed by Avid. Its hard to understand the oppertunities being missed but I guess we can't know their future plans.
With the demise of DS maybe other options can be explored. Only Avid have the answer.
