Frustrating to be sure that MC is missing a variety of tools one would expect to see in the "leading NLE."
I'm not convinced that relying on 3rd party solutions is the complete answer.
Anyway . . . If you have BCC Pan & Zoom it has a lot of features, including rotation.
There is also a way to use Marquee to Pan & Zoom stills, but I have never done it, so I can't comment on it.
