Re: [Avid-L2] Is AAF a good way to Archive?

Hi Lou,
I believe what I'm thinking of is:
Select a Seq. in a bin > File Menu > AMA File Export
(note that in this case AMA does *not* refer to Avid Media Access).
I forget what it stands for at the moment, but IIRC, it's for archiving,
and does so in the most economical way possible when projects share media (again, IIRC).

Anyone have more details on this? I haven't used this feature (obviously).

Cheers,
B

Client wanted each video as a separate project so I just shared bins and among projects and even created a generic project as a central bin location. When I finish a project I often consolidate and archive that media, dumping the rest. Client wants me to deliver AAF files with embedded media along with QT maters. I'm wondering is the AAFs are a good way to archive and I just dump everything once I export these?
