I'm bouncing between trying the Decklink Mini Monitor and the Decklink SDI. I'm basically looking to monitor Resolve on my Tek Scope and OLED monitor thru SDI. The upside to the monitor mini is it's half the price of the Decklink SDI but the SDI model has SDI input and sync input along with RS-422 control. I know it's not realistic to output to tape from a single chassis Resolve, or so I've been told and I have no reason to doubt this issue, but having the RS-422 could eliminate the need for my Keyspan. Anybody know if the Decklink SDI shows up in Avid as a serial control option even if I'm using the Nitris DX for the Avid sdi output. I know aja products will behave that way but I don't know about Blackmagic. I don't see how they couldn't but I don't see any specific mention of RS-422 control in Avid. Anybody have experience and frame accuracy tests on this? I can't tell if there are any frame rate limitations on these cards. Too bad my
IO Express doesn't work with Resolve but the Decklink SDI should handle all the similar functions.
I've read people complain about trimming lag with the Decklink cards but I can either run the Nitris DX or turn off the Video I/O switch to help with that, right? TIA
