Separate from work, I've got MC5.0 chugging along on my own MBP
for doing personal work and the inevitable 'cheapie' and
'freebie' projects for relatives, church, etc. No money in it, so
didn't upgrade to MC7...
If I shoot, I use old consumer HDV cameras and capture over
firewire. But importing files from friends' consumer AVCHD
cameras is a pain.
If I pick up a BMD Intensity Shuttle (I've got Thunderbolt on the
laptop), will its software let me capture over HDMI from a
consumer camera, into a format that will import easily into
MC5.0? Not looking for best quality, just fast/painless.
Any advice from someone who's got a Shuttle, (or a better idea),
appreciated!
