I'm getting hideous and continuous "Legend Audio Communications error, Hardware Underrun" errors on MC7.
I'm on a fully qualified MacBook Pro (2.3 Ghz i7, 8 GB RAM, etc.), with all my media on a Thunderbolt drive. A PCIe laptop adaptor connects to the Mojo, which is sending out to a 42" plasma via HDMI. The project is fully DNxHD 115 MXF, NOT AMA, This is a simple feature film project that is mostly one video track, mostly just cuts, with nothing fancy going on. Those are the basics. Yes, I have about 6 TB of MXF files, but so what?
Still this god-forsaken "Legend Audio Communications error, Hardware Underrun". Some think the problem is buried somewhere inside the new MC7 code. But, who knows?
It is being suggested that I back-rev to 6.5.3. But I have a logistical question. How do I do this? In other words, I hate to lose all the cool MC7 features such as the LUTs and the masking, but if I can't work because the system keeps crashing, then I can't work. I've already reinstalled the OS, MC 7, and never work with anything else open. I've done everything a responsible user should do, but nothing helps. This is extraordinarily frustrating. I've never had these kinds of chronic problems with Avid before.
So how do I back-rev to 6.5.3, and what happens to the MC7 upgrade I purchased? And if they ever get MC7's act together, do I get to reinstall the update?
I'm on a major delivery deadline here, and I can't afford to lose (easily) half my day Force Quit'ing out of MC, restarting and then getting this death-error over and over and over.
Thanks,
David
