Re: [Avid-L2] XDCAM PC Remote mode is causing MC & Mac to crash

why would you export to XDcam from Avid? Need to deliver optical drives?
There are tricks to copy XDcam files exported from Avid onto optical disc on finder level.
(a bit clumsy of course if you have the stuff at your fingertips, but nevertheless, if it works...)

Subject: [Avid-L2] XDCAM PC Remote mode is causing MC & Mac to crash

Hello list-
I'm using a Sony PDW-F1600 deck with Mac OS X 10.7 & MC 6.03, and needing
to go between PC Remote mode & normal a lot.
Something along the way causes MC to stop responding & I have to reboot
(from power button) mode a lot. My 30 second export to XDCAM is taking 10
minutes in reboot times. Seems to really upset the system, so what am I
missing in terms of a work around when doing this?
Should I be disconnecting the firewire at some point?
Powering the deck down at some point?
Thanks-
Shawn B
