You know, that might actually work. Don't quote me, but pretty sure adrenaline tops out at 5.5 - I think 6 was the cutoff. But there's no reason a 7.x dongle shouldn't run 5.5.
BUT wtf with 5.5? Dump the adrenaline and pick up a second hand aja io express. Key code has some 'open box' on their website.
Unless your computer is an ancient relic, or you need something weird and specifies from the adrenaline, the io express will work as well or better. Just my opinion... Of course... And you could run 7. Or 6.5.3.1 or... 5.5, I suppose.
