as far as i remember, the PVW and VITC sucks, i never had the switch in auto
(I can't even remember if it even writes it, UVW does not...)
But, i know for sure you can set the menu to not blank the VITC lines, and you can put your monitor in HV delay.
It should show it.

Helping a customer with their new/moved tape room. None of the Beta SP
decks appear to recorder VITC time code.
Settings are Internal / Pre-Set / Rec Run. VITC switch is on.
What am I forgetting here? I did read the FINE manual.
