Re: [Avid-L2] Lower third graphic softness

Thanks once again. Just tested today and it completely solves a major
workflow problem we have been struggling with for years.

To elaborate further, for this series we import graphics created on a
Chyron system. Since they do not animate, it's much faster to export them
fro that system as stills and import them into Avid. I believe the Chyron
applies some anti aliasing of its own, so when Avid adds its filter, the
result is a very blurry graphic. The workaround until now, was to export a
QuickTime from the Chyron and import that into Avid, thus avoiding the
extra filtering. This is much slower and consumes much disk
space..especially when dealing with literally hundreds of graphics.

Avid really needs to make this user selectable checkbox on the Still Image
import dialog. It really sucks that the filter is applied automatically,
its completely undocumented and only way to turn it off is a "secret"
console command. If you have an e-mail link to someone at Avid who can
look into this, I would appreciate it.
